Bolt, Uber and Liftago drivers

Taxes for Bolt, Uber and Liftago drivers

Monthly VAT on commissions, flat tax and the annual tax return. In Czech, Russian, Ukrainian and English – for the same price.

Why it matters

You are an identified person for VAT

Bolt and Uber charge their commission from abroad, so you become an identified person for VAT (identifikovaná osoba, IO for short). For every month with a commission you must file a monthly VAT return (přiznání k DPH) by the 25th of the following month and pay 21% of the commission.

The tax office checks

Platforms report your income (DAC7) and the tax office audits drivers.

Fines for missed months

A forgotten identified-person VAT return means a fine. We will file the missed months for you.

How it works for drivers

  1. Send us your invoices

Download the monthly commission invoices from the Bolt or Uber app and upload them to the client portal, or send them by e-mail.

  2. We file the return

We calculate the VAT, prepare the return and file it for you under a power of attorney by the 25th.

  3. You just pay

We send you a payment order with a QR code. You pay in your banking app in seconds.

We watch the deadlines for you – if you don't send the invoices, we'll remind you.

Only for months in which you must declare VAT on a commission. For an active driver, that is practically every month.

No, if you drive only for Liftago. Liftago is a Czech company and charges its commission with Czech VAT. The monthly identified-person return is only needed because of Bolt or Uber. The annual tax return or flat tax does apply to you – we can help with that.

Yes. An identified person can be in the flat-tax regime if they are not a VAT payer and stay within the income limits.

No, both platforms are included in the package price.

We will file the missed months for 290 Kč per month and help reduce the risk of fines.

It depends on who the platform charges the commission to. If the fleet pays you and you have no trade licence of your own, you are not an identified person – the fleet handles the VAT. If you are self-employed (OSVČ) and the platform charges the commission directly to you, it applies to you and you must file the monthly return. Not sure? Send us one invoice and we'll tell you within 24 hours where you stand.

This is general information and does not replace an individual assessment.

Send us your commission invoices and we will handle the rest.
